- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with marinara sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
- Spread the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top
- In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and Italian seasoning
- Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the casserole
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and topping is golden brown
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired
