Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken (grilled or rotisserie)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with marinara sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
  • Spread the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top
  • In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and Italian seasoning
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the casserole
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and topping is golden brown
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired
