Ingredients

Units Scale

Meat:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce

Produce:

  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced

Refrigerated:

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Condiments:

  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

Baking & Spices:

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Dairy:

  • 1 cup whole milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan or Asiago cheese, grated

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2: Prepare the Buffalo Chicken Filling

  • In a bowl, combine the cooked chicken with buffalo sauce, ensuring it’s evenly coated.

Step 3: Roll Out the Dough

  • Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface, approximately 12×16 inches.

Step 4: Layer the Fillings

  • Spread the ranch dressing evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan (or Asiago), and blue cheese evenly over the ranch.
  • Add the buffalo chicken, jalapeño slices, chives, and cilantro (or parsley) on top.

Step 5: Roll and Seal

  • Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams and ends to seal.
  • Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 6: Egg Wash and Sesame Seeds

  • Beat the egg and brush it over the stromboli. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and Italian seasoning.

Step 7: Bake

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Step 8: Serve

  • Slice into pieces and serve warm with extra ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • Leftovers: Wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat in the oven for best results.
  • Spice Level: Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less buffalo sauce or omitting the jalapeños.
  • Customization: Add cooked bacon or swap blue cheese for feta if preferred.
