- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over both halves.
- Top with crumbled cooked bacon.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Optional: Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes to brown the cheese slightly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.
