Description

Sweet, crunchy candied pecans that are perfect for snacking, gifting, or topping salads and desserts.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 lb pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg white, water, and vanilla extract until frothy.
  4. Add pecans to the egg white mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and stir until fully coated.
  6. Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are crisp and fragrant.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • Can be frozen for longer storage.
