- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg white
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 lb pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk the egg white, water, and vanilla extract until frothy.
- Add pecans to the egg white mixture and stir to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and stir until fully coated.
- Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are crisp and fragrant.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving or storing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
- Can be frozen for longer storage.
- Great for holiday gifts when packed in jars or tins.
