Description

A creamy, spicy Cajun Salmon Pasta made with seared Cajun-seasoned salmon fillets and tossed in a rich, flavorful cream sauce with pasta.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear salmon for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic, onion, and red bell pepper until soft.
  5. Add heavy cream and broth, stirring well. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Flake the cooked salmon and add to the pasta, mixing gently.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning for desired spice level.
  • Use smoked paprika for extra depth of flavor.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
