Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three 8-inch round cake pans.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  • In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  • Alternately mix in flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  • Divide the batter evenly between pans and bake for 25–30 minutes.

  • For the frosting, beat butter until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
