Description

Butterfinger Balls – a delightful no-bake dessert combining crushed Butterfinger candies, creamy filling, and a luscious chocolate coating. Perfect for parties, holiday treats, or anytime you crave a sweet and crunchy indulgence!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 16 fun-sized bars)
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate coating)
  • Optional: Butterfinger or chocolate sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture:

  1. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and crushed Butterfinger candy bars. Mix until smooth.

Form the Balls:

  1. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  2. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Melt the Chocolate:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips according to package instructions.
  2. For a smoother coating, stir in 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening while melting.

Dip and Coat:

  1. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  2. Place the coated balls back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  3. Optionally, decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate sets.

Set and Serve:

  1. Let the chocolate harden at room temperature or refrigerate for faster setting.
  2. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Chilling is Key: Refrigerating the balls before dipping prevents them from falling apart.
  • Decorate for Fun: Add a festive touch with sprinkles, candy pieces, or a drizzle of white chocolate.
  • Storage Tips: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to a month.
