- 1 lb frozen or fresh French fries
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp mirin (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vegetable oil (for cooking beef)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and bake fries according to package instructions or deep fry until golden and crispy.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, mirin, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Add beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and onions, and cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to make spicy mayo.
- Place cooked fries on a serving plate. Top with bulgogi beef and cooked onions.
- Drizzle with spicy mayo and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double fry the French fries.
- You can substitute beef with tofu or mushrooms for a vegetarian version.
- Kimchi or pickled radish makes a great side topping.
