Description

Bulgogi Fries are a delicious fusion dish combining crispy French fries with savory Korean marinated beef (bulgogi), topped with flavorful garnishes like green onions, sesame seeds, and spicy mayo or sriracha.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or fresh French fries
  • 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp mirin (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil (for cooking beef)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and bake fries according to package instructions or deep fry until golden and crispy.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, mirin, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Add beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and onions, and cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to make spicy mayo.
  5. Place cooked fries on a serving plate. Top with bulgogi beef and cooked onions.
  6. Drizzle with spicy mayo and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double fry the French fries.
  • You can substitute beef with tofu or mushrooms for a vegetarian version.
  • Kimchi or pickled radish makes a great side topping.
