- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven & Prepare Baking Sheet:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Assemble the Pastry:
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4 equal squares.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
- Top with a few blueberries.
- Fold & Seal:
- Fold the pastry diagonally to form a triangle or bring all four corners to the center.
- Press the edges to seal and brush with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake:
- Place pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Make the Glaze & Serve:
- Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
