Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 teaspoon loose leaf green tea (or 1 green tea bag)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried jasmine flowers (or 1 jasmine tea bag)
  • 1 cup hot water (not boiling, around 175°F or 80°C)
  • Honey or sweetener to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat water to about 175°F (80°C), not boiling.
  2. Place the green tea and jasmine flowers in a teapot or infuser.
  3. Pour hot water over the tea and flowers.
  4. Steep for 2–3 minutes to avoid bitterness.
  5. Strain and pour the tea into a cup.
  6. Add honey or sweetener if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Oversteeping can make the tea bitter.
  • Use filtered water for the best taste.
  • You can cold brew this tea by steeping in cold water for 4–6 hours in the fridge.
