Description

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese, this BBQ Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich combines smoky barbecue chicken with melty cheese and crispy bread for a hearty, comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • Optional: sliced red onions or pickles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with barbecue sauce until well coated.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Layer each with half the cheese, the BBQ chicken mixture, and optional toppings if using.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.
  6. Grill each side for 3–4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
