Description

A simple and versatile vinaigrette dressing perfect for salads, marinades, or as a light sauce.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar (balsamic, red wine, or apple cider)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, combine the vinegar, mustard, honey, and minced garlic if using.
  2. Whisk or shake until the mixture is well blended.
  3. Slowly add the olive oil while whisking continuously, or add all ingredients to a jar and shake vigorously.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Adjust ingredients to balance acidity and sweetness as desired.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • Shake well before each use as the oil and vinegar may separate.
