Description

A fun and healthy frozen treat made from bananas dipped in melted chocolate, perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups dark or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Assorted toppings (crushed nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut, etc.)
  • 8 popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut each one in half crosswise to make 8 pieces.
  2. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana half and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Freeze the bananas for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  5. Dip each frozen banana into the melted chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off.
  6. Quickly sprinkle with your choice of toppings before the chocolate sets.
  7. Place the dipped bananas back on the parchment-lined sheet and freeze for another 30 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
  8. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • You can use white chocolate or peanut butter chips for variation.
  • Let the bananas freeze long enough to hold their shape when dipped.
  • Best consumed within a week for optimal freshness.
