Description

Baked Cajun Shrimp is a spicy, flavorful, and easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for seafood lovers. These juicy shrimp are coated in a smoky Cajun marinade and baked to perfection in under 20 minutes. Ideal as a quick dinner, appetizer, or addition to salads and pasta, this recipe packs bold, savory flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cooked
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make the Marinade: In a large bowl, combine canola oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper, thyme, and oregano. Mix well.
  • Season the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until they’re evenly coated with the Cajun marinade.
  • Bake the Shrimp: Spread the seasoned shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until heated through and slightly crispy.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Pair with rice, pasta, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to suit your spice preference.
  • Use raw shrimp instead of cooked shrimp for a juicier texture; increase baking time to ensure thorough cooking.
  • Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or garnish with chopped parsley for extra flavor.
