Description

These Bacon Wrapped Smokies with Brown Sugar and Butter are the ultimate crowd-pleaser for parties and gatherings. Sweet, savory, and crispy, they’re easy to make and impossible to resist!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 pound Lil’ Smokies (small sausages)
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cups brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wrap the Smokies:
Cut the bacon slices into thirds. Wrap each smokie with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Arrange them in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • Prepare the Sauce:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and 1 cup of brown sugar. Stir until fully combined and smooth.
  • Assemble the Dish:
Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture evenly over the bacon-wrapped smokies. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar over the top.
  • Bake:
Bake the smokies at 375°F for 15–20 minutes. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  • Serve:
Let the smokies cool slightly before serving. These are best enjoyed warm!

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bacon for a heartier bite or regular bacon for quicker crisping.
  • Toothpicks can help keep the bacon in place, especially during baking.
  • For added heat, sprinkle a little cayenne pepper or chili powder on the brown sugar topping before baking.
