Description

These mini Apple Pie Bites are a cozy, bite-sized twist on the classic dessert—perfect for fall gatherings, potlucks, or a quick weeknight treat. Made with crescent roll dough, fresh apples, warm cinnamon, and brown sugar, they deliver all the flavors of apple pie in a fraction of the time.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 large apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), cored and sliced into 8 thin wedges
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Caramel sauce or powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
  • Brush each triangle with melted butter and sprinkle generously with the sugar mixture.
  • Place one apple slice at the wide end of each triangle, sprinkle with chopped nuts if using, then roll up the dough around the apple slice.
  • Brush the tops with more melted butter and sprinkle with any remaining sugar mixture.
  • Bake for 13–15 minutes or until golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Drizzle with caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap crescent dough with puff pastry for a flakier bite.
  • Add a splash of vanilla or a dash of allspice to the sugar mix for extra flavor.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven at 300°F for 5–7 minutes.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
