Description

These Apple Pie Biscuits are soft, buttery, and filled with warm spiced apples, making them the perfect quick and easy dessert or breakfast treat. Made with buttermilk biscuits, apple pie filling, cinnamon, and brown sugar, these flaky, sweet biscuits are a comforting treat ready in minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Flatten each buttermilk biscuit slightly to create a larger surface.

Step 2: Make the Apple Filling

  1. In a bowl, mix apple pie filling with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
  2. If desired, chop the apple slices into smaller pieces for easier filling.

Step 3: Assemble the Biscuits

  1. Spoon a small amount of apple filling onto each flattened biscuit.
  2. Fold the biscuit dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.

Step 4: Coat & Bake

  1. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar.
  2. Brush the butter mixture over the biscuits, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Place biscuits in the greased baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

  1. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm on their own or with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, or vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top before baking.
  • Make it even sweeter by adding a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
  • Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days
