Description

Apple Cinnamon Tea is a warm and soothing infusion made with fresh apples, fragrant cinnamon, and subtle hints of spice. Naturally sweet and caffeine-free, this comforting drink is perfect for relaxing evenings, fall gatherings, or when you just need a cozy hug in a mug.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (use sweet varieties like Fuji or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cups water
  • 12 slices fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tsp black or green tea leaves (optional, for a caffeinated version)
  • Lemon wedge or star anise for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small pot, combine apple slices, cinnamon stick, and water. Add ginger if using.
  • Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  • If using tea leaves, add them during the last 2–3 minutes of simmering.
  • Strain the tea into a mug.
  • Stir in honey or maple syrup to taste.
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge or star anise and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • For a stronger apple flavor, mash some of the simmered apple slices before straining.
  • Great as an iced tea too – just chill and pour over ice.
  • Add cloves or nutmeg for a spicier version.
