For the Salmon Bites:
- 1 1/2 lbs salmon (about 4 fillets), skin removed, cut into 1-inch bites
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1 cup (232 g) mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup (132 g) Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2 tsp Sriracha (or more to taste)
- 2 tbsp honey
For Garnish:
- Chives, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- Season the Salmon:
- In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the salmon bites and toss gently to coat.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey.
- Divide the sauce in half, reserving one portion for after the salmon is cooked. Toss the salmon bites in the remaining sauce to coat.
- Cook the Salmon Bites:
- Working in batches, arrange the salmon bites in an even layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overcrowd.
- Air fry for 4–5 minutes on one side. Flip the bites and cook for another 4–5 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F.
- Finish and Serve:
- Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a serving plate. Drizzle with the reserved bang bang sauce and garnish with chopped chives.
Notes
- Adjust Spiciness: Add more Sriracha for a spicier sauce or reduce it for a milder flavor.
- Sauce Storage: The Bang Bang sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Alternative Cooking Method: Bake the salmon bites in a 425°F (220°C) oven for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
