A Dirty Chai Latte is the best of both worlds: a warm, spiced chai tea latte boosted with rich espresso. It’s comforting, energizing, and deeply aromatic—perfect for chilly mornings or when you want your chai with a caffeine kick.

- 1 chai tea bag or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf chai
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 shot espresso (or 1/4–1/2 cup strong brewed coffee)
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup, honey, or sweetener (optional)
- Optional: ground cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish
Instructions
- Brew the Chai:
- Steep chai tea in hot water for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bag or strain.
- Steam the Milk:
- Heat milk until steaming (not boiling). Froth using a frother, whisk, or blender for a foamy top.
- Combine:
- In a mug, pour in the brewed chai. Add espresso shot and steamed milk.
- Stir in sweetener if using.
- Serve:
- Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Make it iced: pour over ice and use cold brew or chilled espresso.
- Use a chai concentrate for a stronger spice kick.
- Double the espresso for a “Filthy Chai”!
