Description
Festive 4th of July cakesicles made with cake and frosting, dipped in red, white, and blue chocolate, perfect for patriotic celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 box cake mix (any flavor)
- Ingredients needed to prepare cake (usually eggs, oil, water)
- 1/2 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
- Red candy melts
- Blue candy melts
- Sprinkles (red, white, and blue)
- Cakesicle sticks
- Cakesicle mold
Instructions
- Bake the cake according to the package instructions. Let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in the frosting until a dough-like consistency forms.
- Press the cake mixture into cakesicle molds, insert sticks, and freeze for 1-2 hours or until firm.
- Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Remove the cakesicles from the molds and dip each one into the melted chocolate, tapping off the excess.
- Place on parchment paper and let the coating set.
- Melt red and blue candy melts and drizzle over the coated cakesicles or use piping bags for decoration.
- Add patriotic sprinkles before the drizzle hardens.
- Let set completely before serving or packaging.
Notes
- You can use homemade cake and frosting if preferred.
- Use gel food coloring if dyeing white chocolate instead of candy melts.
- Store cakesicles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
