- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine self-rising flour and Greek yogurt to form a sticky dough.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth (about 2–3 minutes).
- Roll out and cut into doughnut shapes using a cutter or the rim of two glasses.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C).
- Fry doughnuts in batches, 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and coat in sugar or glaze once slightly cooled.
Notes
- Make your own self-rising flour by mixing 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1 1/2 tsp baking powder + 1/4 tsp salt.
- Add cinnamon or vanilla extract for extra flavor.
- Try filling them with jam or cream using a piping bag.
- Best served warm the same day.
